A New Born Child and A Happy Valentines Day

Well in this weeks WWOW I don’t need to look very far for inspiration.

IMG00186-20110212-1027My darling wife, Mudrika, gave birth to a very cute little baby girl over the weekend, Sienna de Maria, weighing in at 5 pounds and 13 ounces.

When Melania was born with a cone-head, I didn’t think it was a beautiful experience at all, she really didn’t look very good. But Sienna is a cuty right from the start and I actually warmed to her almost immediately. She is tiny and very precious.

What a wonder the human body is. After being cut open for the C-Section, Mudrika lost 1.5 litres of blood and had to undergo 3 blood transfusions, then there was an infection which caused a fever and had to be administered a course of anti-biotics. Her veins closed up in both her arms and it took 3 attempts to stick a drip into her hand. The contractions continue because the body doesn’t realise the baby is out and add that to the pain of the C-Section and she is on pain killers every 4 hours. The Morphine is the best, but then we found out that it is transferred to the baby through breast-feeding, so Sienna must be high half of the time! (maybe that’s why she behaves so well.)

And all this time she still takes care of the baby, nursing her and cleaning her. Mudrika just takes it all in her stride. I would be spitting blood by now. What a wonder the human spirit is.

So for this week it is a short message to also wish you a Happy Valentines Day.

I’m off to hospital with some roses, a card and a ring I bought Mudrika while on holiday a few months ago while on holiday abroad. She saw it and loved it, but then decided she didn’t ‘need’ it. Whoever heard a woman say such a thing? Does she ‘need’ all those shoes she has? Anyway, I sneaked back to the shop the very next day and bought it.  Feeling good about myself, I then put it away for safe keeping and couldn’t find it again for love nor money. 6 months later it reappears so now she finally gets to have it!

Ok that wasn’t as romantic as I intended but you know what they say … it’s the thought that counts. Wishing you all the very best on this loving day.

And if you haven’t yet been on one of my webinars about trading and investing, then join us on my next one, where I will be interviewing 4 of my students to see how they got on with what we teach.
