August season of BBQ’s, Chickens & Eggstravaganzas

I hope you are enjoying the continued lovely weather and what is officially “holiday season”. Its a time Bbq where we can all breathe out a little, have the time to spend with friends catching up, comparing BBQ techniques, enjoying the sun and good company.

SMExtravaganza June 2010 012 Here at Investment Mastery, we don’t normally have any events, although this year we have decided to hold a one day stock / spreadbetting / forex seminar in August, for those people who might not be able to make it any other part of the year. Find out more here.

Loyd_grossman The point is that with it being slower, we often think that we will do all the things that we don’t manage to do throughout the year, such as create new products that we have talked about. This month, we’re not event focused, but we are sitting around the table putting our heads together doing exactly that.

So by the time the weather turns, we would all have deliberated, cogitated and digested and created a cacophony of wealth creation and trading and investing delicacies for our clients to feast upon during the winter months. The little jobs that need doing will have been done and dusted, and we’ll be looking forward to sharing these with you.

MarcusdeMariaMMI Well, there is another reason for us getting our act together rather than having a long NWA Singapore 2010-3m holiday….. You see, from October onwards, I am going to be abroad almost 6 weeks training for T Harv Eker in UK, USA, Malaysia and Singapore. This is a lot and I hope I haven’t bitten off more than I can chew with the travel, jet lag and then fitting in Investment Mastery committments around that. Ah what the heck, I’m sure it will be an incredible adventure, some of which I can and some of which I can’t tell you …………. Watch this space! You know, I’m very proud to say that although I’ll be away a lot, the team here at Investment Mastery is stronger than it has ever been and I have no doubt that we will pull together to make it happen.

Trading Update

SMExtravaganza June 2010 011 Last week we made a short video on how Paul Harrison, our head trading coach, made over 2000 points. Over half of these points were made going long on Whirlpool and then immediately selling short as it turned. Other stocks included Texas Instruments. A lot of our graduates were in the same trades. And at £10 a point (or whatever you want it to be), that’s a mighty fine trading month.

Some R&R for the de Maria family

With the continued lovely weather we visited a friend of our’s, Kelvin, in Sevenoaks. Since selling his urinal business for just under £10 million, he has transformed his land into a playground. He has 3 of those buggies you race around on, which is great fun, an outdoor swimming pool and a hot tub within walking distance in case the pool gets too cold (O!), a tennis / basket ball court, a croquet and football pitch and an outdoor pool table. We were investors in his last business and investors in his current business. I think this one is going to be a biggy, as he has just received European funding to the tune of EURO 900,000.

Eggs In his spare time he is going to grow his own vegetables and also raise chickens to Chick sell eggs to the local community – he reckons that this will make him £300,000 a year from a state of the art egg laying plant, fully automated, locally sourced, and well kept chickens. That’s a lot of eggs. But it does reflect how people are feeling about having sustainable local food sources. There has been a massive resurgence in keeping chickens, growing your own veg, providing for the community (swapping carrots for eggs etc!) which can be no bad thing.

Bees Even bees are back in fashion!

Long may this weather continue.

Until next week

Marcus
