Last week I shared with you that we were challenged by a journalist of 20 years and now a radio host to prove our strategies work. She had approached all the big trading education companies and asked if she could attend their course and then let her listeners know about her progress.
They all said no.
I said yes
The results are in – we teach total beginners how to make money in the stock market, looking at anywhere between 3%-6% a month, that’s 36% – 72% a year, and she managed her 3% for the month. Not bad considering the rookie mistakes people make when they first start. This is what the journalist had to say:
“I have been interested in share trading for a while but didn’t know where to start. I attended a course about a year ago with another company and although it was a great course I didn’t leave feeling able to start. I had lots of theory but no idea of the practical application – I didn’t even know how to open a trading account!
I attended Marcus’s weekend course in November 2009. We each had our own PC, we were shown how to open an account and actually place a trade and Marcus explained three easy strategies to get us started. I have been virtual trading for about 5 weeks now and have made a net profit of about 3% over that time. I really feel that I’ve gone from “clueless” to “confident” that I can make money from share trading. Thank you Marcus!”

Trading Update
4 of our super traders are testing out a new strategy, each on a different time frame, to see how to make it Bear-stock-market-3less risky. Another few weeks of trading it and the results will be in.
Last week we had a series of stock market evenings in Central London. I would love to do more around the country – do you know of anyone who can help organise this for us? We are looking for groups of around 50 people we can talk to.
Tax Liens update
We are preparing websites, tickets etc. for the tax liens one day training on Saturday 13th February. The website should be up this week and we will start emailing you about how you can be part of this. Still negotiating prices – really we only want to cover the cost of flying the tax liens team over, accommodation, hotel etc. I announced the content and prices at the Graduate meeting yesterday and we had 70% of the room take us up on the offer, some people just couldn’t make the date (but are sending friends along).

Monthly MeetingGreat to see so many of you at the meeting yesterday, where we discussed the vital components of financial success – the desire to have money and the persistence to continue no matter what. The more I learn, the more I realise the key is to focus on one thing you enjoy doing and then keep going no matter what, being sure to stay flexible along the way, but keep that ultimate goal in sight.
The Purpose of your life … worthwhile exercise
Some people seem to struggle with what their purpose in life is, and over the last few weeks I was asked by two separate people to help them with this. It is quite simple actually. Just get a piece of paper and ask yourself the question, “what is the purpose of my life?” and whatever come up, just write it down. ConfusedThen ask the question again and write down the answer. Then keep asking the question. the first few answers will evoke the normal conditioned responses but then after about 10 mins or so the real stuff comes out. The best way to do this is to have someone else ask the question and relentlessly continue until you get to the point where you get emotional or feel that that is the one – let your emotions guide you on this.
Melania update
Melania is sleeping through the night again since her bout with cold and fever. This means I have my wife back – poor thing hasn’t slept a lot the last few weeks.
