Marcus with the Incredible Hulk!!

I have just finished speaking at the National Achievers Congress in Singapore talking about stock market trading and investing. There are some great people here at the event, for example, Lou Ferrigno, who played the Incredible Hulk. Do you remember seeing him on television? I used to watch the series every week.

His story is very compelling – he overcame tremendous odds, being partly deaf and bullied at school, he decided to focus on body building and became the youngest Mr Universe ever at the age of 21. He did a tremendous talk about overcoming obstacles and fears to get where he got. What an amazing person. He charges $5,000 – $10,000 an hour to work out with him at his gym. Can you imagine what distinctions he could give you – it would be amazing to train with the best in the world. He even went back into competition at the age of 42.

During that time we got to know some of the speakers there and they are amongst the best in the world. One speaker, Adam Ginsberg, has made over $20 million on Ebay. What I noticed about all these people is how focused they were. Long after I was ready to throw in the towel, they would still be discussing their art. Personally there comes a time when I just don’t want to talk about it anymore, I wonder why that is?

A group of us had dinner at the Raffles hotel, home of the famous Singapore Sling cocktail. I was beat but at the last minute decided to join in – the steaks were $85 each, but boy were they good. From UK, Andy Harrington was there with his wife to be Beckie and their gorgeous little baby girl. The UK was well represented at the event with Kevin Green, Channel 4′s Secret Millionaire on great form and we all had a brilliant time getting to know each other some more.

You probably know this – and if you don’t, get with the program – The National Achievers Congress to come to London first weekend of July.

But the line up is even bigger and more powerful even than the Incredible Hulk, though maybe not as green …

Mudrika’s Birthday

Before I go, it is Mudrika’s 40th this Wednesday. Any ideas what I should do? To give you some perspective – for my birthday, she flew me to the Kingdom of Tonga, near Fiji, to go diving with whales, something I have always wanted to do. it was an amazing experience. Do you think I am in trouble? Let me know your thoughts and any suggestions … or just wish me luck.
