New Year In Westminster

Hi there and a very HAPPY NEW YEAR to you!!!

Did you have a great Christmas? Ours was cute with little Melania ripping open her presents and tiny Sienna eating the wrapping paper. I just had to share these photos with you.

It made me thing of a sketch that the fantastic comedian Michael McIntyre did on his Christmas show. I don’t know if you caught it but he was comparing what life is like for people who don’t have kids and those who do. Even the most simple of tasks become impossible.

Like, for example, leaving the house. I remember the good old days when we just walked out the front door with our keys and now its a military operation even to get to the hallway …… and what about wishing Mudrika ‘good night – sleep tight’. I remember the times when she was able to reply ‘Yes, I will thanks, sleep soundly, all night, and wake up refreshed’. Ah I remember so well! Now I agree with Michael who told us that these days he just looks at his wife and says ‘good luck darling’ as he goes to sleep.

I have said it before but I still don’t know how Mudrika manages!

New Year In Westminster

New Year’s Eve is a time we normally stay at home and do our goals for 2012. This year we were invited to Westminster to see the fireworks from the terrace overlooking the Thames. So in spite of the effort it appeared to take logistically with babysitters and feeding/sleeping schedules, we got out of the house and spent the evening in London.

It was awesome, the building is quite something up close and we saw a few ‘faces; like the speaker of the house and John Prescott and a few other MPs.

One of them had his entire family there and when we left around 1am all his 5 children were still there – one of them was around 8 months old and going strong. As we left I could tell they were thinking what light weights we were … and wondered should I have asked them how they managed it when we have just 2!

Monday Calls

We have lots of great announcements we will report in more detail next time but for now, Paul Harrison is back at home in South Africa on holiday, so Phill Carr and I will be taking stocks calls and recording videos for you over the next couple of weeks. Lisa Arthur is strangely having surgery on her big toe so it will be me covering the money club for the Monthly Meeting on Sunday the 15th January.

Monthly Meeting  Sunday 15th January

The speaker will be Mac Attram, who is a masterminding genius, and has worked with some of the top names in the industry.  I think we’re nearly full up so if you are a member and you haven’t booked on yet, check the Trading Club and Money Club sites asap!

New Web Sites & Team

I’d like to welcome to our team, Robert Youngs (no, not Robert O Young the supergreens man) but our new web developer who will be looking after our sites – we recently changed them over to wordpress and we’re going to be putting loads of great content on there in the coming weeks.

The de Maria Foundation & Schools Project

Cat Willcocks, who is in charge of building the de Maria Foundation and our Social Enterprise Project is also now on board full time. Cat will be taking our message of wealth mindset and psychology into schools and teenagers. I know we’ve talked a lot about this in the past, and many of you have already given time and energy to how wealth education can be taught in schools, so Cat will be in touch with you very soon with what we’re planning.

Here’s To An Interesting 2012!

I sincerely hope that together we can make 2012 the most awesome year ever, making 2011 pale in comparison. It could prove to be a very interesting year financially if 2011 was anything to go by.

Will this be your year? I certainly hope so. Remember, to sound your drum and trumpet your way to success! (although unlike Melania’s, they don’t have to be pink).  Investment Mastery is here to help you every step of the way for as long as it takes.

Click Here to join me at the One Day Intensive where I’ll be sharing everything I know about trading, investing, stocks, spreadbetting, forex, gold & silver, and China!

Until next time

    Hi happy new year!
I have just one concern ,and i have told other people as well .I don’t think its a good idea putting photos of your children on the web ,and i believe they will pay a lot of money when they grow up to have them removed.Privacy will be a luxury in the future. Its lovely to see photos of kids on face book etc its just i would hate to see them exploited.
    Yours cathal

    Hi

It was nice of you to share those special moments with us. Nowadays, family life is often excluded from anything business but the reality is that it very much influences our business life too! I know because we have 3 wonderful children between the ages 10 and 13 (2 of them twin girls). Sharing special moments with them is wonderful and also my husband and I wanting to share a few moments on our own also involves childcare arrangements etc which could sometimes be hectic but does get easier as they get older!

I wish you and your lovely family an excellent 2012! Lovely pics!
