Wealth Creation On The BBC For The First Time

Here is this week’s video where our head stock trader Paul Harrison answers your questions.

Here he explains what happens when several support lines converge. We have a horizontal and a vertical all together, which is incredibly powerful.  What do you do? Follow the rules, of course, and Paul shows you how.

Marcus on BBC2 last night (29th November, 9pm, ‘Money’)

M_&_M_2Some of you have been emailing and texting about BBC2’s Series ‘Money’ entitled ‘So you want to be a millionaire?’ which featured Robert Kiyosaki, T Harv Eker and yours truly Marcus de Maria.

It followed the progress of several people looking to make millions, but I didn’t get much sense that they were taking a lot of action.

Actually there was just one example – Janice Geddes who is well know to us – and she did say that she had been on a Janicestock course and made £2,000…… Guess whose course that was? 0urs – and I know that Janice (left)  has also attended the Wealth Masterclass and our monthly meetings. Keep up the good work, wealth creator!

The interviewer asked me a question towards the end – can everyone make money, and I hesitated. That’s because I honestly believe that making money is NOT for everyone; but, as Mudrika said, it is for anyone with the right knowledge and the right guidance.

M_&_A_tradingI wasn’t sure about the programme, but I was surprised at how much airtime we had, there was footage from the Wealth Masterclass (did any of you spot yourself in the audience?), trading with Avi, and they even got me playing tennis, which was a bit random.

I’d love to have more of your comments – especially as I think this is the first time wealth creation has been aired on national TV.

Do let me know what you think…

Until next time!

The aim of the programme was clearly to suggest that the “Wealth Creation Gurus” were taking advantage of some very naive people . They certainly achieved their aim and your industry was shown in a very negative light.

On a positive note, your sofas looked very nice. However, for future TV appearances, you shoud lose the David Brent pose. :)

I thought it was a really good programme – quite balanced and not too cynical. It could have tried to show some of the American gurus as being charlatans and it didn’t poke too much fun at the thousands of people who spend money attending courses. It also showed some examples of success and you came across very well Marcus :)

The interviewer did ask some unsubtle questions – how much money have you made? – errr none. And how much have you spend on wealth courses? – errrr several thousand. But as you said, the ones who were not making any progress were not taking action, and that will always be the way. In truth not everyone can be wealthy (think about it, we can’t all own 20 rental properties. We can’t all simultaneously be ahead in stock market positions) but anyone can be wealthy.

    Marcus,

The show was aimed to expose the work of so called guru’s. Yet when they picked you to chat with they really changed their attitude. I speak from personal experience, following a phone interview with you (I have never attended your course). You told me 5 major principles that you teach.

Since then I have doubled my income and secured a promotion at work, while still working on my studies. Once these are complete I want to start share trading, and there will be only one man to call.

If you are reading this, marcus has a REAL skill.

I like the BBC program. Thank you for sharing the link via your emails. I have been attending property seminars and meeting people. This program summarised my understanding of making money. I would love to follow rest of the series of the program.

I enjoyed the program, it showed lots of great wealth trainers get some good exposure. What I didn’t like was the narrators tone during most of the program, lots of undertones of sarcasm implying the people interiewed were being ripped off and / or they were wasting their time and money. Obviously she was playing devils advocate to make the tv program, however I would suspect that the narrator doesn’t have very much personal wealth based on her attitude!
